Where Will The Children Play?

In an age marked by technology & capitalism children are growing in a world with increasing disconnection, inequality, a polluted environment and a proliferation of sex and violence. This series of multi media sculptures poses the question “Where Will The Children Play?” Are we doing enough to adequately protect the most vulnerable in our society? As we witness the safe physical spaces for children shrinking due to the threat of physical and gun violence we are beginning to see the effects these threats are having on their psyche and the ability of the youth to have an innocent childhood. The kites expressed in different forms and gestures symbolize the conditions of the struggle each kid is facing.
